Store Doctor, including Store Doctor Pro, is operated by Excel Web Works Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how the app accesses, uses, protects and retains information when Shopify merchants install and use its features.
1. Information We Access
Store Doctor accesses Shopify information needed to provide its product template management features, including:
- Product titles, status and template assignments
- Theme template information
- Store identification and authentication information
- App installation, subscription and session information
Store Doctor Pro also offers bulk order fulfilment. When a merchant uses this feature, the app may process:
- Shopify order identifiers and order numbers
- Order fulfilment status and remaining fulfilment quantities
- Fulfilment order and line item identifiers
- Courier tracking numbers and tracking information entered by merchants
- Temporary batch approval and processing lock records
Order information can constitute personal data even where a customer's name, email address, phone number or postal address is not requested. Store Doctor Pro is designed to use the minimum information needed to validate and perform merchant-authorised fulfilments.
The bulk fulfilment feature does not require customer payment card details or customer contact information for its intended operation.
2. How Information Is Used
Information is used to:
- Display, search and manage product template assignments
- Authenticate merchants and maintain app subscriptions
- Validate merchant-supplied order numbers and tracking data
- Check whether orders are eligible for fulfilment
- Help prevent duplicate or incorrect fulfilment operations
- Create Shopify fulfilments after merchant review and approval
- Request Shopify dispatch notifications when selected by the merchant
- Maintain the security and reliability of the service
Store Doctor does not sell or rent merchant or customer personal data and does not use order information for advertising or customer profiling.
3. Data Sharing
Store Doctor communicates with Shopify through Shopify APIs to provide its features. Information may also be processed by infrastructure providers supporting app hosting and database services, to the extent necessary to operate the app.
Information may be disclosed where required by applicable law or a valid legal request.
4. Data Retention
Store Doctor retains information only as needed to operate, secure and maintain the service and meet applicable legal obligations.
App installation and authentication records may be retained while an installation remains active. Bulk fulfilment processing uses temporary approval and locking records to protect order operations. These records are subject to the application's retention and deletion procedures.
Merchants may contact us to request information about retention or deletion of data associated with their installation.
5. Shopify Privacy Requests
Store Doctor provides mechanisms for handling applicable Shopify privacy requests, including customer data requests, customer redaction and shop redaction requests. Requests are handled according to applicable legal requirements and Shopify's requirements.
6. Data Security
Store Doctor uses technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure and loss. Access to Shopify information is controlled through the app's permissions and authentication mechanisms.
